RESEARCH

We work with researchers and academics from around the world to better understand technology habits, behaviour change and routes to digital wellbeing.

WHY.

Digital Wellbeing is a relatively new field and there is lots of work to be done to better understand how our relationships with devices and apps affect us both as individuals and society.

In many cases, researchers lack access to timely, accurate and reliable data on how people are using their phones, and what this means for their emotions and behaviours.

In this multi-disciplinary research field, it is important to start amassing quantitative, as well as qualitative, studies to better understand our relationship with technology. With this research, we can come closer to a consensus on what digital wellbeing really means, so that we can better educate users, regulators, governments and technology companies accordingly.

HOW.

We work with university academics and start-ups around the world committed to better understanding the relationship between technology and society. We support them in their research activities through consultancy and data gathering.

We do this in partnership with screentime app SPACE. You can find out more here about our partnership.

We also co-author research papers on the topics of phone-life balance, a selection of published works are summarised here.

We have been working with the teams at Sentient Digital and SPACE over the past few years to collect data for timely studies that will help us to understand the nature of mobile phone addiction, routes to behaviour change and the impact of phone use on emotions. The team are efficient, reliable, and highly collaborative. They appreciate and understand the nature and dynamics of research and adopt an agile work style to accommodate it. It is a pleasure working with them, and we hope that there are plenty more opportunities in the future.
